Free online dating is becoming more and more popular in our modern life. The busier the people are, the less time they have to go out meeting someone and find their true love in the society, and somehow, with them, these sites are perfect for them to find the other half of their life. But are they that magical? Are they really that helpful so everybody could rely on it to find a girlfriend/boyfriend or even a wife/husband? In my personal perspective, I don’t think those free online dating is that trustworthy? Why do I think so? In fact, I haven’t used these kinds of sites once in my life, but there are things that I know about these sites according to some of my friends’ experience: These services are free; therefore, there will be nothing to guarantee that everything you find on the other people’s profiles are true. People can just put on some information about their outlooks, their ages, their works, etc. but in fact, maybe none of that information is true.
More importantly, free online dating sites are a giant nest of virus, because their security is very bad. If the users are not careful enough, their computer can easily be hacked and all of their personal information, their image, Yahoo or other websites account, etc. or even their work can be stolen or deleted. One of my friends got to date with a girl through one of these free sites, and he results in losing all of his personal information stored in his personal computer, and it takes him several days and a lot of money to recover the lost data and fix all the error of his computer, and after that he swore that he would not go to these dating sites ever again. Last but not least, once you log on one free dating site, you will get annoyed by the appearance of many advertising banner or pop up, which slow down your computer a lot. Well, there’s nothing we can do about it as we know that it is free, so of course this is the only way they can get money from. In conclusion, I think that free dating sites is not any good for you as well as for your computer, and if you want to spend time surfing around, doing some chit chat, it is ok, but if you want to build a serious relationship through it then it’s time for you to think again carefully.
